Iran showcased at Albanian photo exhibit

TEHRAN,Jan.28(MNA) -- The Albanian town of Berat is playing host to a photo exhibition featuring different aspects of Iran and its development over the past three decades. Beautiful landscapes of Iran, the traditional handicrafts and its economic development after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 have been put on show for one week. Iran’s ambassador to Albania Ali Amuii made a brief speech at the opening ceremony talking about the expansion of cultural relations between the two countries. The influence of Persian poetry and literature on the literature of Albania indicates the deep literary and cultural connection between both nations, he said, referring to the Albanian national poet Naim Frasheri (1846-1900). The exhibit is an excellent opportunity to better familiarize people with the culture and beauty of Iran, he added.
