Swiss trio to give performances at Fajr music festival

TEHRAN,Feb.2 (MNA) -- The Swiss Collin Vallon Trio will have performances at the 27th Fajr International Music Festival. Colin Vallon on piano, Patrice Moret on bass and Samuel Rohrer on percussion will perform selections of from the music of Switzerland on February 14 and 15 in Eyvan-e Shams. “The music of this band is among the most remarkable and fascinating that the Swiss scene has to offer. The 29-year-old Colin Vallon has brilliant technique, personal expression, a sense of perfect timing and a very individual musical language, which he creates with the unexpected sounds from his piano. Together with his bassist Patrice Moret and drummer Samuel Rohrer, he has developed exciting multiple stylistics based on modern jazz, but from that it steps out in all directions possible,” their website described. Vallon has performed at several international Jazz Festivals including Montreux, Cully, Schaffhouse, Willisau, Basel, Gaume, Strasbourg, Grenoble, Saalfelden, Cape Town und Dubaï and held tours in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia, Tunisia and South Africa. The 27th Fajr International Music Festival in Tehran will be held from February 13 to 19.
