Iranian powerlifter wins gold in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia ,Feb.6(MNA)-- Yousef Yousefi claimed a gold medal in the Men’s 52kg of the Malaysia Open Powerlifting Championships on Sunday. Yousefi won the gold medal with a lift of 163kg. The athletes from Vietnam and Thailand came second and third respectively. Some 110 disabled athletes and officials from 16 countries across the world have participated in the competitions, which are underway in Kuala Lumpur’s Stadium Titiwangsa. Three athletes represent Iran in the event.
