‘Iran welcomes any measure to promote stability in Afghanistan’

TEHRAN, Feb. 15 (MNA) – The Islamic Republic welcomes any measure that helps promote security and stability in Afghanistan, an Iranian Foreign Ministry official told on Tuesday. Mohsen Pak-Aeen, who is the director of the Foreign Ministry department for Afghan affairs, said that Tehran has a positive view on the trilateral summit which will be held by the presidents of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan in Islamabad on February 17 in line with the efforts to promote peace in Afghanistan.
