Chinese media analysts highlight Iran’s role as a major energy supplier

TEHRAN, Feb. 15 (MNA) – A Chinese delegation of media analysts met with Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast in Tehran on Monday. Mehmanparast said that as China vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution against Syria on February 4, the international community still expects Beijing to pay a more efficient role in the UN and contain the U.S. unilateralism. Mehmanparast also pointed to the important position of China in the international political and economic arena and called the country the most important political and trade partner of Iran. The media analysts called Iran one of the most important and influential countries in the Middle East and emphasized the country’s role as a main energy supplier to the world. The delegation also participated in a round-table discussion conducted by the Iranian Foreign Ministry Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) and held talks on various issues concerning regional and international developments.
