Syrian referendum decision a great step forward: Iranian diplomat

TEHRAN, Feb. 18 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian described the Syrian government’s decision to hold a referendum on a new draft constitution as a great step forward in line with the efforts to meet the people’s demands. Amir-Abdollahian also expressed hope that the United Nations, the Arab League, and the European Union would support the decision.
