Asia, Europe to display photos of Iran’s latest achievements

TEHRAN,Feb.21(MNA) -- Iran will be opening a photo exhibition depicting its latest achievements in 10 different countries across Asia and Europe, secretary of the event said on Tuesday. Entitled “Islamic Republic of Iran, Development, Authority”, the exhibition will open in spring in Italy, Germany, Thailand, Canada, Pakistan, Sweden and several other countries, photographer Alireza Karimi Saremi told . The ongoing changes in the capital Tehran, the development of different industries across the country, the activities of research centers, victories of Iranian sports teams as well as the art and cultural activities are some of the topics to go on display, he added. Saremi also mentioned that the organizers aim to eradicate the negative image of Iran formed in the mind of some European citizens, and encourage them to come visit the historical sites of Iran and see its beauty. The exhibit also helps introduce Iran and its high position and familiarize the world with the past and present of the country and its recent developments, he remarked. Cosponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and Iranian embassies and cultural offices across the world, the first edition of the exhibit was held last year in several South African countries as well as France, Kuwait and South Korea. The photos are selected from among 1,000 pictures taken by Iranian photographers, he concluded.
