National, Islamic Unity group releases candidate list for Tehran

TEHRAN, Feb. 21 (MNA) – The National Unity, Islamic Unity Front has also released a 30-member parliamentary candidate list for the Tehran constituency. The list is a combination of principlists whose names have appeared on other parliamentary candidate lists in Tehran as well. The list includes MPs Ali Motahari, Hamidreza Katouzian and Ali Abaspour Tehrani who are set to officially launch their campaign under the banner of “the Voice of Nation”. Four women candidates including MP Lal-e Eftekhari, political analyst and university scholar Hassan Lasjerdi, and Elyas Naderan, Ahmad Tavkoli, Gholamreza Mesbahi Moqaddam (three lawmakers who are on the Majlis Economic Committee), and Majlis deputy speaker Mohammadreza Bahonar are also on the list.
