Iran's “Final Whistle” wins three awards at French festival

TEHRAN,Feb.23(MNA) – The Iranian film “Final Whistle”, on social and private life interactions, won three awards at the 18th FICA - Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema. Directed by actress and filmmaker Niki Karimi, the movie got the Emile Guimet Award granted by the Friends of the National Museum of Asian Arts of Paris. The INALCO Jury Award granted by the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations in Paris was alos presented to the “Final Whistle”. In Addition, the movie received Youth Award granted by the Commune of Vesoul. “Final Whistle” is about a documentarian couple Sahar and Saman, who have their calm life disrupted. Sahar is informed that one of their cast members faces a death sentence due to a murder charge. She then begins to convince the relatives of the decedent to overturn the sentence.
