Israel sees its existence in danger: Iranian defense minister

TEHRAN, Feb. 25 (MNA) – Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said that the Zionist regime is seeing its existence in danger.
“The Zionist regime is seeing its existence in danger, and this is the reality on the ground in the region,” Vahidi said in Tehran on Thursday during a speech at a ceremony held to commemorate the memories of Hezbollah’s martyrs and other martyrs of the Muslim world.
Fatima Mughniyah, the daughter of former Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyah, attended the ceremony.
In his speech, Vahidi said, “The Zionist regime’s army is desperate, exhausted, and defeated, and the Zionists living on Palestinian soil do not know until when they can stay on that land.”
“We are a great and esteemed nation. Lebanon’s Hezbollah is also on the front line of the resistance against the Zionists, and this front is becoming stronger day by day,” he added.
“Hezbollah brought honor to Lebanon, and today this country is the strongest link in the chain of resistance against the Zionists,” Vahidi stated.
The Zionists’ great concern is Hezbollah’s deterrence capability, he added.
The Iranian defense minister went on to say that Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah is the “most popular Arab figure,” but certain Arab leaders are jealous of him.
During the ceremony the families of the martyrs were honored for showing great devotion and making tremendous sacrifices, and Fatima Mughniyah delivered a speech, in which she said that she feels proud of being in Iran.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, 14 books, which were written on the lives of 14 martyrs of the Muslim world, including Imad Mughniyah, in both Arabic and English, were unveiled.
