Shabanian named volleyball coach for Iran’s women's team

TEHRAN,Feb.27(MNA) - Mitra Shabanian was appointed as coach of the Iranian women's volleyball team on Sunday. Head of Iran’s Volleyball Federation, Mohammad-Reza Davarzani, appointed current coach of Persepolis as the team's trainer. Shabanian will head the Iranian team at the Asian Cup Volleyball Championship, which will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from September 10 to 16. The first competition of this kind for both men and women was first held in 2008.
