TEHRAN, Feb. 28 (MNA) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that certain international actors have been hampering Iran’s efforts to continue its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency. Once Tehran “begins moving toward (meeting) the demands of the UN Security Council and the IAEA Board of Governors’ resolution,” which call on Iran to show more transparency concerning its peaceful nuclear activities, “someone wants to hamper, if not to disrupt those moves,” Lavrov told reporters in Moscow on Monday, RIA Novosti reported. He also said, “It is very important that everybody confirms firmly and without any reservations that if Iran takes all existing issues of concern (to) the IAEA off the table, it will have all the rights that nuclear-free member states of the Non-Proliferation Treaty have, including the right to enrich uranium to produce fuel.”
