Oscar winner Farhadi to donate awards to Film Museum of Iran

TEHRAN,March 11(MNA) -- Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi, who returned home Tuesday, said he plans to donate all his awards to the Film Museum of Iran.
His “A Separation” won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards in Hollywood on February 26, 2012.
Farhadi arrived at Imam Khomeini Airport amid a warm welcome by fans, the press and the director of Iran’s Farabi Cinematic Foundation, Ahmad Miralaii.
Asked about his trip to Iran, he replied, “I had traveled to Paris and now I have returned back home to my country.”
About the influence of this huge success on the process of Iranian cinema development, he said that the success would surely continue in the future, while believing that the repetition of success is not inevitable.
Farhadi added that he will probably write back soon in response to all the messages of congratulations published here and there for his great success.
He also talked about his feelings when he accepted the Oscar, saying that he is not able to explain his feelings and he was sure that for everybody who watched the ceremony, it was a significant moment for them.
He next answered a question about his latest project in Paris, to which he replied, “The film is in its pre-production stage and I am currently making plans to begin shooting, which will take about a year”
