Iran paired with Australia in AFC Futsal Championship

TEHRAN,March 12(MNA)--Iran has been grouped with Australia in the 2012 AFC Futsal Championship which takes place in the United Arab Emirates from May 25 to June 1. Defending champion Iran will face Australia, Qatar and South Korea in Group C. Each of the four groups will play a one-round league where each team in the group shall play one match against every other team. The top two in each group (eight teams in total) will advance to the knockout stage (quarterfinals) and the four winners of the quarterfinals will play in the semi-finals. The two winners will advance to the final and the two losing teams will face together in bronze medal match.
