Iran`s Fajr Fashion Festival ends with no first prize winner
TEHRAN,March 13(MNA) -- The 1st Fajr Fashion Festival was brought to an end Sunday at Vahdat Hall with no first prize winner in any category.
The festival, offering a variety of the latest Islamic-Iranian designs, ran from March 1 to 8 in Tehran’s Hejab Hall and the first winners of the three sections of chador, scarf and manteau, and research were due to receive a cash prize ranging from 500,000 rials (about $40) to 50m rials (about $4,078).
The ceremony took place in the presence of Deputy Culture Minister for Artistic Affairs Hamid Shahabadi and Secretary of the festival Keivan Sohrabi.
Hamidreza Tavassoli in the research section, Akram Badri in chador, Mina Abdi in manteau, and Farnaz Salmani in scarf were honored.
The did not jury select a winner in the general manteau section but Yasaman Bahraini received the third prize.
Donya Abdust and Samira Esfandiari shared the second award of the formal manteau section and Zahra Parandehkani received the third prize.
Additionally in the formal manteau section, no first or second prize winners were announced but Shabnam Mohammadi received the third prize.
Organizers also honored several top researchers and top articles, which were submitted to the secretariat of the festival.
