Iran`s Defense Ministry says has extensive plans in aerospace technology

TEHRAN, April 2(MNA) – The Defense Ministry has great ambitions in the area of aerospace technology in the new Iranian year which began on March 20, Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said. “The Defense Ministry has extensive plans in the area of aerospace in the year 1391 and we predict that this year will be a productive year for the Defense Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran and an advancement of our country’s military capabilities,” Vahidi told. He added, “One of the responsibilities of the Defense Ministry in 1391 is to provide new arms and equipment based on the most modern technologies.” Vahidi said that over the past year, his ministry succeeded to produce new arms and equipment, including missiles and electronic devices, and deliver them to the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and Army. The ministry intends to implement tens of projects in the current year and the “first priority” is to manufacture new products which have been envisioned in the plans.
