HM the King receives CPPCC Chairman

Manama, Nov 6 (BNA) -- His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa took pride in the growing deep-rooted relations bonding Bahrain and China, in light of the growing mutual keenness to develop them in various fields in the interest of both countries and their peoples. This came as HM the King, today at Sakhir Palace, received Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Yu Zhengsheng, and the accompanying delegation currently visiting the country. HM the King highlighted Bahrain's resolve to boost cooperation with China in various areas, for its political and economic international standing, as well as its distinguished development experience that has become a model to benefit from internationally. HM the King lauded the outcomes of his successful visit to China in September 2013 and the fruitful meetings with President Xi Jinping and Chinese leadership that resulted in signing a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding, which have played a key role in enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation at political, economic, investment, cultural, tourism and energy levels. HM the King hailed the contributions of Chinese community in Bahrain to the development process witnessed by Bahrain. HM the King underscored the importance of the exchange of official visits, beefing up legislative cooperation, benefiting from both sides' expertise at all levels and coordinating stances on important issues. HM the King commended Chinese supportive stances toward the Kingdom of Bahrain's security and stability, as well as its support for the just Arab causes and contribution to maintaining world security, stability and peace. Yu Zhengsheng expressed sincere thanks to HM the King for the warm welcome received, and hailed willingness of senior Bahraini officials to further promote bilateral cooperation. He stressed his country's support for Bahrain's measures on preserving sovereignty, security and stability, emphasizing China's support for the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of States. He noted the successful outcomes of HM the King's visit to China that will bring about prosperity to the two countries and their peoples.
