Long-standing Bahrain-UK military ties lauded

Manama, Nov. 12. (BNA) – Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met here today UK’s Senior Defence Adviser for the Middle East Lieutenant-General Sir Simon Mayall, and his accompanying delegation. The BDF Commander-in-Chief lauded the outstanding friendly long-standing Bahrain-UK relations, praising the advanced level of bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly the military one. He stressed the joint Bahraini-British defence efforts, expressing hope that bilateral military coordination and cooperation will continue for the common benefits of the two countries. Director of the BDF General HQ Major-General Yussef Ahmed Al-Jalahma, the UK Ambassador to Bahrain Iain Lindsay and the British Military Attaché to Bahrain Lieutenant-Colonel Andrew Price were present.
