Bahraini ambassador to KSA: Operation Decisive Storm a pre-emptive step

Riyadh, Apr. 8 (BNA): Bahraini Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has stressed that Operation Decisive Storm is a successful pre-emptive step which foiled foreign plots to dominate Yemen and undermine regional security and stability. Speaking to Saudi Al-Riyadh newspaper, he said the operation was necessary to safeguard national, Gulf, Arab and even international security in the region. He pointed out that Bahrain's participation is a national and humanitarian duty to confront the injustice inflicted by the Houthi militias on the Yemeni people. He also lauded the wisdom of the Bahraini and Saudi leaderships and their joint action, alongside all the countries in the alliance, to restore legitimacy in Yemen. He praised the timely action of Saudi Arabia which thwarted foreign attempts to shake regional security and stability. The Bahraini ambassador described the Operation Decisive Storm alliance as a strategic option to face challenges posed to national, GCC and Arab security. He added the alliance, led by Saudi Arabia, was timely and is achieving set up goals. He also asserted that common goal and destiny binding the GCC countries as well as Arab and Islamic ones are capable of achieving strategic balance. He noted that the GCC, Arab and Islamic countries taking part in Operation Decisive Storm are not advocates of war but they are rather advocates of peace and security.
