King receives Yemeni Vice President

Manama, Apr.22 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has received today at Sakhir Palace Yemeni Vice President, Prime Minister Khalid Mahfoudh Bahah, currently on visit to Bahrain. He conveyed to HM the King greetings from Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who hailed Bahrain’s honourable stance in support of legitimacy in his country, wishing Bahrain and its people further progress and prosperity. HM the King welcomed Bahah and extended greetings to President Hadi, wishing Yemen to regain security and stability. He affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on supporting Yemen and expanding joint cooperation. HM the King reiterated Bahrain’s support to legitimacy, led by President Hadi, for Yemen to regain its security and stability and preserve its national sovereignty and territorial integrity. The King said that the Operation Decisive Storm had achieved its desired goals, adding that Bahrain, and in cooperation with brotherly countries, would not hesitate to back the legitimate leadership at this important phase of Yemen’s history. He said that the Operation "Restore Hope" would contribute to putting Yemen on the right track by resuming the political process on the basis of the UN Security Council Resolutions, the GCC Initiative and the outcome of the national dialogue. HM the King and Vice President Bahah discussed the latest developments unfolding in Yemen as well as the efforts to dispatch relief aid to all Yemeni Governorates in coordination and cooperation with regional and international humanitarian organisations. HM the king hailed strong fraternal relations, deep-rooted culture and long-standing heritage bonding the two countries, paying tribute to the Yemeni community for contributing to Bahrain’s development. Vice President Bahah thanked HM the King for Bahrain’s honourable stance in support of the legitimacy in Yemen and keenness on its security, stability, sovereignty and the unity of its people, wishing the Kingdom and its people further progress and prosperity. The Yemeni official had arrived earlier today in Bahrain and was received by Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa.
