Swiss delegation praises efforts to reform labour market

Manama, Apr. 22 (BNA)-- Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chief Executive and President of the National Anti-Human Trafficking Committee Osama bin Abdullah Al Absi received today Head of the Human Rights Department at the Swiss Foreign Ministry Véronique Haller and Deputy Head of Division Middle East North Africa Thomas Gürber, in the presence of non-resident Swiss Ambassador to Bahrain Etienne Thévoz. He updated them on the reform project of the labour market and the efforts of LMRA to tackle mainly free visa labour and human trafficking. The Swiss delegation lauded the efforts of LMRA and the care given to the expatriate workforce, praising steps taken to fight human trafficking crime and develop means to clamp down on it.
