Two Die, 13 Injured In Latest Terrorist Attacks In Thailand's Narathiwat, Yala

NARATHIWAT (Thailand), April 26 (Bernama) -- Thirteen civilians and police personnel were injured when two bombs attached to two motorcycles exploded in the town centre here at noon Monday, while two traders were shot dead in Yala. According to Narathiwat Police Chief Major General Pattanawut Angkanawin, the two motorcyle bombs were placed in Lorong Lamai Uthi and in front of the Muang Police Station, and exploded just a minute apart. "Of the 13 injured, five were police personnel and one, a girl. Four houses and two cars were also damaged in the explosions," he told reporters on Monday. All of the injured were rushed to the Naradhiwas Rajanakarindra Hospital for treatment. In the 11 am incident in Muang, Yala, two rubber wood traders known as Hamdi Talubo, 35, and Yunu Late, 30, were shot dead by a group of armed men who were alleged to have been tailing their vehicle. --BERNAMA
