Generals received at the State Palace

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 28, on the occasion of the 72nd Anniversary of the rank of General in Mongolia, a tribute ceremony was held at the Nine White Banners’ Hall of the State Palace. During the ceremony, Chief of Staff of the President of Mongolia P.Tsagaan, Member of Parliament, Head of Cabinet Secretariat S.Bayartsogt and Member of Parliament, Deputy Prime Minister Ts.Oyunbaatar officially welcomed the Generals of Mongolia and congratulated them on the Anniversary. Mongolia has first issued the rank of General on April 28, 1944 and the General’s Day has been celebrated to date. Chief of Staff of the President P.Tsagaan conveyed heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the Generals and wished them good health and best of luck. “You are the ones who are committed to safeguarding country's independence, territorial integrity and inviolability of frontiers” he said. For over 70 years, a total of 170 people were awarded with the highest military rank. Those are the outstanding figures who served at the Armed Forces, the Border Protection Authority, the Court Decisions Enforcement Agency, the Police Department and the General Intelligence Agency of Mongolia. They are high-ranking military specialists with skills of management and with vigor and valiancy. “We take pride in our General who was assigned to commander of area of the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations and in our military servicemen who became soldiers of the world. Today, we mark this Anniversary. Once again, I extend my warm congratulations on this Anniversary, to the Generals and wish you, your families, relatives and colleagues the best”, he concluded.
