Japanese PM to travel to China, Laos after visit to Vladivostok - government

TOKYO, August 31. /TASS/. Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, will pay a visit to China and Laos after visiting Vladivostok where he will take part in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secreary Yoshihide Suga said on Wednesday. "After a trip to Vladivostok where he will hold talks with President Putin, the prime minister will visit China and Laos," Suga said. The Chinese city of Hangzhou will host the G20 summit on September 3-5, while the 11th East Asia summit will be held in Laos on September 8. On Tuesday, The Japanese Kyodo news agency reported that the possibility of meeting between Prime Minister Abe and US President Barack Obama in Laos is being discussed. Read more
