Vietnamese President to visit Russia in June this year - Matviyenko

HANOI, February 21. /TASS/. Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang will visit the Russian Federation in June this year, the speaker of Russia’s Federation Council (upper house of parliament) Valentina Matviyenko said Tuesday. "In June, Vietnamese President will pay an official visit to Russia," she said. According to Matviyenko, "the relations between Russia and Vietnam have been expanding each year in various areas," particularly, the country’s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung visited Russia last year. Also, presidents of the two countries had a meeting on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Lima. "Our leaders have defined the development strategy for the relationship between Russia and Vietnam, as well as the role and tasks for all state and political institutions to ensure the implementation of top-level agreements," she added.
