Lubna Al Qasimi tours Sweden's WTC
Stockholm, February 4, 2009 (WAM) - H.E. Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, currently on a visit to Sweden, yesterday visited the World Trade Centre in Stockholm, She was accompanied during the visit by Sheikha Najlaa Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Ambassador to Sweden, Salah bin Omair Al Shamsi, Head of the Chambers Federation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce '&' Industry, and other delegation members.
Sheikha Lubna was briefed by the WTC officials on Sweden's economy and industries, as well as the Centre's activities and future plans.
She also held talks with the officials of the Swedish Trade Council and discussed with them ways to boost cooperation in all fields, particularly the renewable energy.
The delegation later toured the Swedish School of Economy, a century old prominent institute in Stockholm, where she delivered a speech.
Sheikha Lubna told an audience of Swedish officials, business personalities and the School's teaching staff and students that the UAE was the second largest economy in the Arab world with a Gross domestic Product of US$199 billion.
