UAE, Germany discuss joint environmental cooperation
Abu Dhabi, February 5, 2009 (WAM) - Prime Minister of German State of Schleswig-Holstein Peter Harry said yesterday Germany was ready to provide UAE with technology and know-how to develop its capacity to handle major environmental concerns.
The German minister made his remarks during a meeting today with Director General of the Federal Environment Agency (FEA) Dr. Salim Al Dhahiri.
The two officials reviewed avenues of joint ecological cooperation under the memorandum of understanding signed by the two countries.
A host of topics related to environmental research, climate change, renewable and energy, waste management and clean production systems were also discussed.
