UAE Ambassador meets Mayor of Red Sea State of Sudan
Khartoum, February 7, 2009 (WAM) - UAE Ambassador, Isa Abdullah Al-Basha Al-Nuaimi, has met with the Mayor of the Red Sea State of Sudan, Dr. Mohammed Al-Tahir. During the meeting which was held at the Mayor's office in Port Sudan, they discussed bilateral relations and facilities and incentives that can be provided by the state to prospective UAE businessmen and investors.
The Mayor said, in view of the growing economic ties between the UAE and Sudan, he is planning to visit the UAE soon to showcase investment opportunities in his State.
Al-Nuaimi, for his part, thanked the Mayor for inviting him to visit the Red Sea State. He praised the State for achieving development and progress and said UAE businessmen and business institutions are keenly interested in the state's economic capabilities.
The State's Economy Minister, Othman Mohammed Ahmed and Director General of the Finance Ministry, Mohammed Abdul Rahim were present at the meeting.
