Dubai's Infrastructure Committee decides to go on with green buildings initiative
Dubai, February 9, 2009 (WAM) - The Infrastructure and environment committee of the Dubai Executive Council decided yesterday to expedite the necessary studies in preparation for the execution of the second phase of the emirate's ambitious green buildings initiative.
At a meeting presided over by Managing Director and CEO of DEWA Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the committee also reviewed the strategic plan of the Dubai civil defence and discussed pivotal infrastructural issues related to this area.
The meeting, also attended by Director General of Dubai Municipality Hussain Nasser Lootah, Deputy commander General of the Dubai Police Maj. General Khamis Matar Al Mazeinah and other officials, reiterated the need for benefiting from the best global practices in the field of prevention and firefighting.
