MEED unveils AWCS Gulf Construction Outlook Survey 2009 in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, February 10, 2009 (WAM) - MEED, the Middle East's premier business intelligence provider, yesterday announced the launch of the 'AWCS/MEED Gulf Construction Outlook Survey', a comprehensive compilation of market insights and trends.
Over 35 CEOs from the region's leading construction firms will contribute to the survey, which was announced on the first day of the Arabian World Construction Summit (AWCS) 2009 that opened today at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi and will conclude on 11 February.
Announcing the survey at a press conference organised on the sidelines of AWCS, Richard Thompson, Editor at MEED said, 'The survey will serve as a powerful indicator to the future of the construction market in the Gulf, and will be based on the views of industry experts who keep a close watch on market movements. It will allow senior businessmen and investors to form an accurate assessment of the short and long-term prospects of the market based on industry sentiment.' 'MEED is one of the leading providers of vital data and analysis that help businesses succeed in the Middle East. The Gulf construction industry has witnessed massive changes in the past few months. The 'AWCS/MEED Gulf Construction Outlook Survey' will provide clarity to business leaders on the Gulf construction sector at a time of growing uncertainty,' he added focusing on the construction sector and current market conditions, AWCS 2009 has attracted 169 companies from 25 countries.
