Sheikha Fatima urges for more cooperation to safeguard UAE's security, safety

Abu Dhabi, February 10, 2009 (WAM) - H.H Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak yesterday said that the new stage of national work requires awareness of the significance of countering any emergencies and crises.

In her speech at the announcement of the National Scheme for Security and Safety of Educational Institutions (NSSSEI), Sheikha Fatima said the UAE Founding Father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan was open to change and development.

NSSSEI will be launched on February 15th and will run to March 15th.

"Our late leader's life became a role model", she added.

She urged the UAE society for more cooperation and collaboration to safeguard the security and safety of the country through taking part in training and learning self-defence techniques as well as in schemes aimed at tackling emergencies and crises targeting the country's human resources.

Sheikh Zayed, she noted, successfully built the new state's institutions and was fully resolved to achieve the goals of the country.

National Scheme for Security and Safety of Educational Institutions which is organised by UAE's National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) is a new format of knowledgeable institutional partnership and is aimed at strengthening the perception of national joint action which is built on strategies.

"If you do not want to get tired of change, then you have to exert efforts to change", Sheikha Fatima concluded.

The scheme which will be launched under the theme " Our Schools: Security and Safety" later this month, is in pursuance of the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces and H.H Sheikh Hazza' Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor.
