Qatar Crisis No Effect On Malaysia's Trade, Investment

KOTA BHARU (Kelantan, Malaysia), June 16 (Bernama) -- The crisis between Qatar and other Gulf countries has not affected Malaysia’s trade and investment so far, said Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry Mustapa Mohamed. He said Malaysia had close economic, trade and diplomatic ties with all the countries in the Gulf. “We have forged good ties with all countries. We have our importance in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Dubai and all Gulf countries,” he told reporters after the breaking of fast here Thursday. Recently, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Maldives and Egypt cut diplomatic ties with Qatar following an allegation of it supporting the Islamic militant group, Daesh. -- BERNAMA
