Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz holds press conference

Manama, February 11, SPA -- Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, President of
Arab Gulf Programme for the United Nations Development Organizations
(AGFUND) announced the establishment of a bank in the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia that contributes to financing small enterprises.

In a press conference held in Manama today following the launching
ceremony of the Creativity Bank in Bahrain, Prince Talal bin
Abdulaziz stated that banks of the poor have kept dignity of the poor
by giving them the opportunity to become shareholders in the bank on
the middle and long run.

He noted that the bank, launched in Jordan in March 2006, gave
micro-credits that exceeded 44,600 loans totaling 46 million US
Dollars with loan repayment reaching 98% and profits exceeding
671,000 US Dollars.
