MBRCF to provide medical equipments, rehabilitation services to children in Gaza
Dubai, February 12, 2009 (WAM) - Within the framework of the programme initiated by Crown Prince of Dubai HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum under the theme 'Children of Gaza are our children', the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Foundation (MBRCF) is evolving a mechanism for providing medical equipments and implementing a set of rehabilitation programmes to help the children in Gaza, the victims of Israeli offensive.
Several children have undergone major surgeries after sustaining serious injuries in the bombardment.
The MBRCF initiative was announced by Chairman of the Trustees of the Foundation Ibrahim Bu Melha, who said that the Foundation had recently received donations from employees of various government departments in Dubai.
Bu Melha added that the Foundation will soon begin to implement a set of programmes aimed at giving psychological help to the Gazan children traumatized by the Israeli aggression.
Several children had to witness their mothers dying in the wanton bombardment carried out by Israeli army in Gaza.
With the help of expert psychiatrists, MBRCF will conduct several programmes aimed at bringing the children into normal life.
The Foundation will also supply medical equipments to a number of hospitals including the Al Nasr Paediatric Hospital. The Foundation will also supply educational material for the children in Gaza.
The 'Children of Gaza are our children' was a programme implemented in Dubai in solidarity with Palestine and in coordination with the government departments in Dubai.
