Abdullah, Saloukh confer on latest regional events

Abu Dhabi, February 12, 2009 (WAM) - UAE Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan received at Al Mushrif Palace his Lebanese counterpart Fawzi Saloukh on the sideline of the current visit of Lebanese President Michel Suleiman to the UAE.
Sheikh expressed his hope that relations between the UAE and Lebanon would experience more progress on all domains for the best interest of the two brotherly peoples.
Talks between the top two diplomats reviewed ways of enhancing bilateral ties. As they touched on the latest regional developments, the two ministers stressed the need for consolidating solidarity among Arab countries to address current challenges.
The Lebanese minister lauded the progress made by the strong relations between the two countries. He also praised the development achieved by the UAE under the prudent leadership of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
