UAE embassy in Amman delivers relief supplies for Gaza
Amman, Feb 23, 2009 (WAM) - The UAE embassy in Amman delivered on Saturday to the Hashemite Charity Organization of Jordan food supplies for distributing in Gaza.
The supplies include sugar manufactured at the Al Khaleej Sugar Company (AKS) of UAE. The Hashemite Charity organisation had packed the food items in preparation for handing them over to United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, UNRWA.
AKS had donated 100 tons of sugar for distributing in Gaza through UAE embassies in Jordan and Egypt.
