Caracal launches new brand pistol at IDEX 2009
Abu Dhabi, Feb 23, 2009 (WAM) - Caracal International, the first national light weapons manufacturer, launched today at IDEX its new brand pistol SC to become a new member of Caracal's signature family of premium products.
Hamad Khalifa Al-Neyadi, Managing Director of Caracal International, a subsidiary owned by Tawzun Holding of the Offset Program Bureau, said the sophisticated light weapon would be an ideal option for use of military establishments and law enforcement agencies across the world.
''The pistol is the first UAE made product at bar with international standards," he added.
He said : ''Caracal, which has made its presence felt widely locally and regionally as the leading UAE and Gulf sophisticated light arms maker, will maintain special appearance at IDEX 2009.
'Building on its high profile at the defence industry, Caracal will showcase a new, innovative high quality product, underlining its commitment and promise to present a new brand product at every edition of IDEX. This also underscores our determination to keep the momentum going towards making persistent achievements as part of our impressive drive to build a dynamic, viable national defence industry, ''Al Neyadi stressed.
He added: ''In 2007 we launched Caracal to the world, in 2009 we are reaffirming that Caracal is on track with its strategic plan. Investing in industry doesn't not only supply the UAE and GCC, but also a global market with the highest quality products manufactured in the UAE.
