CNIA signs deals with Advanced Integrated Systems worth Dh767 million

Abu Dhabi, Feb 25, 2009 (WAM) - The Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA) has signed two agreements with Advanced Integrated Systems (AIS) worth a total of Dh767 million at IDEX 2009. The first agreement will provide specialized experts to train and qualify CNIA's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams using the latest techniques and methods to international accredited standards for the protection and security of facilities.
CNIA's Director General Brigadier Engineer Muhair Ali Al Khateri said, "The agreement with AIS will help CNIA to achieve its goals of training its human resources and providing them with the necessary skills to carry out their duties of protecting critical facilities." Under the terms of the second agreement, AIS will provide training for CNIA personnel for control and telecom systems at Command and Control centres. The duration of the contract is for five years.
CEO of AIS Khalfan Al Shamsi expressed his appreciation at the signing of the two agreements with CNIA, saying, "We are proud to cooperate with CNIA as well as to expand our technological coverage for the security of the UAE. CNIA's credibility is based on being the authority that is tasked with providing and protecting the security of Abu Dhabi's critical infrastructure."
