Hamdan Bin Zayed meets Schroeder
Abu Dhabi, Feb 25, 2009 (WAM) -UAE Deputy Prime Minister HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received yesterday at his Al Nakheel Palace, former German Chancellor and Chairman of the Emirati-German Friendship Society Gerhard Schroeder who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting they discussed the bilateral relations between UAE and Germany and explored ways for fostering them in the fields of economy, technology, industry and tourism.
Sheikh Hamadan stressed the need for bolstering the bilateral relations between the two countries, as the leadership of both countries have stressed their commitment in this regard.
UAE, under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is trying to strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation with Germany, and both countries have a sincere desire to broaden the horizons of these relations, noted Sheikh Hamdan.
Schroeder said that his visit will contribute towards enhancing the UAE German relations and noted that a new phase of joint investment and partnership between the two countries has started, giving a solid foundation for these relations.
