STATEMENT ON RESULTS OF MEETING OF NATIONAL COORDINATORS IN GUAM-JAPAN FORMAT ADOPTED

Baku, March 2 (AzerTAc). A statement on the results of the meeting of council of national coordinators in the GUAM-Japan format has been adopted.

The document included the decisions adopted and issues discussed in the meetings
between national coordinators – deputy foreign ministers and GUAM secretary general
Valery Chechelashvili - and Japanese Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone, Ministry`s
state secretary Shintaro Ito, special representative to the GUAM Nobukatsu Kanehara.

The meetings discussed tourism, trade, transport and international cooperation
including climate change, Un Security Council reforms and ways of conflict
resolution.
GUAM representatives expressed their intention to expand economic ties with Japanese
business circles.
Japanese side expressed satisfaction over the meeting of GUAM tourism experts held
in Kiev and expressed willingness to support tourism in GUAM member countries.
