Al Arabi Reaches Semi-Final of GCC Basketball Competition

Muscat, May 11 (QNA) - Al Arabi club reached Friday the semi-finals of the 38th Gulf Club Championship, which is currently hosted by Nizwa Club in Oman. The competition will conclude on Monday. Al Arabi reached the quarter-finals of the tournament after beating Al Rayyan (74-67). Al Arabi will face UAE's Sharjah, who did not compete in the quarter-finals and qualified directly to this round after the second group. In the quarterfinals, Oman's Nizwa will face Bahrain's Muharraq while Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad will also meet Bahrain's Manama. The two winners will face one another in the semi-finals, while the two semi-finalists qualify for the final on Monday. It is worth mentioning that Al Rayyan is the record holder of the championship with 5 titles equally with both Etihad and Uhud of Saudi Arabia. Both Al Arabi and Al Sadd from Qatar have won the title as well. (QNA)
