Qatari Abdurrahman Samba Sets New Record for 400 Meters Hurdles in IAAF Diamond League in Rome

Rome, May 31 (QNA) - Qatar's Abdurrahman Samba continued to dominate the 400m hurdles and set a new record for the race on Thursday in the fourth round of the IAAF Diamond League in Rome. Samba scored 47.88 seconds to win the first place, ahead of Norway's Karsten Warholm , who scored 47.82 seconds and Turkey's Samani Kobylo, who scored 48.63 seconds. The Qatari champion broke the previous record of the 400 meters hurdles in the championship (57.57 seconds), which he recorded in the Doha round, the first round the IAAF Diamond League. Samba began the season with great strength after retaining the race title for the second consecutive year. The Qatari champion is the Asian champion and qualified for the final 400 meters hurdles at the World Athletics Championships held in London last year. (QNA)
