Nur Syazwani Wins Gold Medal In World Youth Bowling Championships

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 (Bernama) – National young kegler, Nur Syazwani Sahar ended Malaysia’s barren run by winning the gold medal in the girls’ All-Events in the 2018 World Youth Bowling Championships in Michigan, United States on Wednesday (early Thursday in Malaysia). The 19-year-old teenager accumulated 3,937 pinfalls in three events – singles, doubles and team of four to secure Malaysia’s first ever medal in this year’s tournament. She is the second Malaysian to win the gold medal in the event after Esther Cheah back in 2006. Juliana Botero of Colombia and South Korean kegler, Hong Sun-hwa were awarded joint silver medallists by knocking down an identical 3,903 pinfalls, according to the tournament website;www.2018wyc.worldbowling.org.
