Malaysia Lose To Qatar In Handball Event At Asian Games

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) - - The national men's handball squad kicked off their 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games on the wrong footing after being whipped by the Asia champions, Qatar 11-64 in the group A opening match at GOR Popki Cibubur in East Java, Indonesia on Monday. In today's match, Qatar took a comfortable 33-7 lead in the first half before adding 31 points against Malaysia who only managed to add four additional points in the second half of the match, according to the Asian Games website:www.en.asiangames2018.id. Malaysia will take on Iran on the second group match on Wednesday at the same venue. The national women's squad will kick-off their campaign against hosts Indonesia in the group A match, on Tuesday.
