ADNOC plans 16 CNG filling stations

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) yesterday announced plans to build 16 eco-friendly Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) pumping stations as part of the drive to diversify sources of energy.
In a press statement released to mark the GCC Traffic Week, celebrated in the UAE under the patronage of interior minister Lt. general H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the company said nine CNG stations will be built in Abu Dhabi, five in Sharjah, one in Al Ain, in addition to the existing Al Maha station, the first CNG filling station in the emirate.
ADNOC is also planning to open four additional stations in Abu Dhabi, bring to 71 the total stations owned by the company, including 31 in Abu Dhabi island. It will also open three new stations in Ajman and Sharjah, plus a new station in Kalba
