KIDPA budget increased to Dh 4m, 2 new categories added
The budget of the Khalifa International Date Palm Award was increased yesterday to over Dh 4 millions. The decision was taken yesterday by the board of trustees of the Award in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting which was chaired by H.E Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chairman of the Board also approved the increase of the Award's categories to 5, up from 3.
The two new categories, which were previously recommended by Sheikh Nahyan himself, are the "Best Guidance Program on Date Palm Trees" and "Best Social Development Project related to Date Palm."
