Bahrain-UAE cooperation in combat sports discussed

Abu Dhabi, Aug. 14 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Kickboxing Federation, Ahmed Khalid Al-Wazzan, met here the Executive Director of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, and member of the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) Tareq Mohamed Al-Mehairi. Al-Mehairi welcomed the visit of the Bahrain Kickboxing Federation President, noting that it reflects keenness to open up new horizons of cooperation between the two federations. Al-Wazzan expressed thanks and appreciation to Al-Mehairi and members of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation for their warm welcome and hospitality, as well as cooperation throughout the visit. Al-Wazzan pointed out that his visit is within the directives of HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Bahrain Fighting Games Council, to strengthen cooperation with the relevant federations in the GCC countries. During the meeting, they reviewed areas of cooperation between the two federations. Al-Wazzan pointed out that cooperation with the UAE will continue in order to serve the youth and sports communities in the two countries and the region.
