Lubna Al Qasimi meets ministers of Jordan, Somalia
Abu Dhabi, April 9, 2009 (WAM) - Minister of Foreign Trade HE Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi discussed yesterday with the Jordanian Minister of Trade and Industry Amir Al Hadidi, bilateral relations between UAE and Jordan and the ways for bolstering them in the fields of trade and investment.
At a meeting held in Abu Dhabi, they discussed the need for setting up investment projects in both countries as well as the ways for developing two-way trade between UAE and Jordan.
Sheikha Lubna gave a presentation detailing the efforts of UAE for encouraging the private sector to play vital role in the economic development.
In a separate meeting Sheikha Lubna also met the Somali minister of Trade Abdul Rashid Mohammed Abdy and the accompanying delegation, and discussed with him ways for bolstering bilateral relations between UAE and Somalia, especially in the fields of trade and economy.
Sheikha Lubna expressed the readiness of UAE in helping Somalia to develop its commercial performance through providing that country with technical support, skill and experience in the related field.
