UAE citizens in Thailand are safe: FM
Abu Dhabi, April 14, 2009 (WAM) -- UAE citizens in Thailand are well and safe, the UAE Foreign Ministry affirmed yesterday, urging citizens not to travel to the Asian country for the time being until the security situation improves for their own safety.
Director of Consular Affairs, Foreign Ministry, Sultan Al Qurtasi, said: ''The Foreign Ministry is in continuous contact with the UAE Embassy in Thailand to get assured of the well-being and safety of UAE citizens there amid the security situation the Asian country is experiencing now.
He said the mission has set up an operation room to follow up conditions of the UAE citizens and facilitate their trip home.
