American actor visits Abu Dhabi Rehabilitation Centre

Abu Dhabi, April 15, 2009 (WAM) - American actor Dennis Haysbert paid on Monday a courtesy visit to the Abu Dhabi Rehabilitation and Care Centre of the Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs and Minors Affairs in Abu Dhabi.
Dennis Haysbert, best known for his role as President David Palmer in the hit US TV series '24', is in the UAE as a guest of honour at the Gulf Film Festival which will conclude tomorrow in Dubai.
Accompanied by the Foundation's Secretary General Mohammed Fadhil Al Hamli, Haysbert toured different units of the Centre. He also visited the Abu Dhabi Autism Centre.
Al Hamili said he was pleased with the kind visit of the American actor, who also chairs a US child welfare organistaion.
Haysbert said he sensed during his trip to the UAE how children with special needs are taken care of.
He said the Foundation has created the ideal environment to rehabilitate those children and re-integrate them into the community.
